The Rise of the American Rock Poster

This is the movie I've been waiting years to be made. I swear I got shivers when I saw the trailer. Nothing could possibly make me happier today.

Dear Californians

Proposition 8 passed.

WTF Happened? Did someone slip a roofie in your Jamba Juice on the way to the polling place? I suppose maybe I'm living in a fantasy world, aka the San Francisco Bay Area, but I really did believe that votes would show that Californians do believe in equal rights for all.

I was wrong.

I'm so very sad for all my gay friends, family, and neighbors. Same sex couples deserve all the same rights and privileges as hetero couples and I can't express how sorry I am that we live with so many narrow minded assholes who believe it's their right to deny basic human rights to others.

It will be interesting to see how this plays out in the coming weeks and months. I have to believe that the fight isn't over. Banning same sex marriage is unfair and wrong. I do promise that I will stay committed to fighting for equal rights for all, no matter how long it takes.

I think I just heard the entire country utter one collective sigh.

Now let's hope Prop 8 is defeated as well.

This story warms my cold, icy heart.  I won't be rooting for the 49ers any time soon, but I WILL vote NO on Prop 8!

Justin Hampton's "That One" On Sale Today!

Justin Hampton is an incredible artist, and one of my very favorites.  Justin's work definitely inspired me to begin my rock poster collection and I proudly display several of his prints in my home.
I'm so excited that he is involved with the Obama campaign and releasing this very special print today!

"In the 2nd 2008 Presidential Debate, Senator John McCain capped off a night of dismissive behavior toward his opponent by referring to Senator Barack Obama, not by name or title, but simply, "...that one". This image of Obama fronting various freedom fighters of the past shows the position he has taken in the gradual struggle towards equality. John McCain used the term in a contemptuous sense: I use it in total admiration and respect. I offer you...

A five color print in various shades of metallic silver ink on 100 lb acid free paper stock measuring 24"x24". Signed and numbered edition of only 200 copies."
